Study with a variety of question formats. Depending on the format you purchase, MKSAP 19 offers variety in both number and type of questions, including traditional self-assessment questions, Extension Questions focusing on new information and learning gaps, Virtual Dx (image-based) Questions, flashcards (one-question/one-answer questions, adaptive learning enhanced), and MKSAP Quick Qs to focus your study and prime you for your boards.

With MKSAP 19, you can earn a quarter of a point for each question when you answer one of two questions correctly (50% correct). This same formula will apply to MKSAP Quick Qs, Virtual Dx, and Extension Questions. You will still have multiple attempts to answer questions correctly to earn the maximum number of points per section.

MKSAP 19 is specifically intended for physicians who provide personal, nonsurgical care to adults. Specifically, general internal medicine physicians and primary care physicians, subspecialists who need to remain up-to-date in internal medicine, residents preparing for the Certification Exam in internal medicine, and physicians preparing for the Maintenance of Certification Exam or Longitudinal Knowledge Assessment in internal medicine.

Successful completion of these CME activities, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program as listed below. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for each activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Virtual Dx is intended for physicians who provide personal, nonsurgical care to adults. Count on Board Basics for an intensive ABIM Board review. Board Basics is derived from MKSAP 19 content, but presented in a succinct digest style with key facts, tables, and test-taking tips to help you prepare for your Boards. Yes, though you will need to do so for each section, individually. The easiest way is to visit the Questions Dashboard, click on the name of the section, select "incorrect" from the list of filters that appears above the answer sheet, and then click the red "Clear Answers" button.

After you complete your quiz, you can step through all of your answers and critiques or just those for your incorrect answers. You can create as many Custom Quizzes as you like, and those will be displayed in the Archived Quizzes.

From every question page, you can select the "Related Text" button to see a snippet of the related content. Click "View the full text" to link directly to the full section within the text that is most relevant to the question. Likewise, from each section of text, you can click on the "Related Questions" button at the top of the screen to see a list of related questions or, you can see the links to related questions as you read. You can view a related question in a separate window to avoid losing your place as you read the text, or go directly to the questions by clicking on the Jump To This Question link.
