Director Omung Kumar is back with yet another hard hitting story. This time it's a biography based on the life of Sarabjit which is slated to release this weekend. The movie features Randeep Hooda, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Richa Chadha in the key roles.
The trailer of the movie promises to give us a taste of the life of prisoner. And by the looks of what we have seen in the trailers so far, it seems like the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a gripping tale.
While it is obvious, that the film is packed with intense emotions and a strong human interest. Alongside all this, perhaps the extraordinary characters of the movie might inspire us to fight against injustice.
It's no secret that Randeep Hooda completely immersed himself into the role of Sarabjit Singh. His physical transformation for the role is awe inspiring. In fact, details of how Randeep Hooda lost 18 kg in 28 days for 'Sarbjit' will scare and shock you! The 39-year-old actor even went on to say that he had just 30 days to transform himself into the skeleton of a starving man confined in a 4 ft x 4 ft prison cell.
Apart from mastering the Punjabi dialect for the movie, Randeep even grew a mustache for the role. While many have even gone ahead to say, that the movie could very well be the best of his career so far.
After a long time we will be seeing Aishwarya in a power packed role. While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a kickass come-back with 'Jazbaa', it's been a while since we have seen Ash done a de-glam role.
In the movie, we will see her portraying the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur. And by the looks of the trailer, Ash has done a great deal of things to make her portrayal look as real as it gets. In-fact, there is a sequence in the movie where we will see Aishwarya running bare-feet in a lane covered in mud, stones and cow-dung.
The trailer of 'Sarbjit' gave a glimse of the heart-wrenching and sad story of Sarabjit Singh, a Punjabi farmer who by mistake crossed the border and was imprisoned in a jail in Pakistan. And Randeep Hooda brings his character alive in the best way possible. Sarabjit Singh was held hostage in Pakistani correctional facility for very nearly 23 years.
His sister Dalbir Kaur did everything possible to get back her brother, yet all her attempts were deemed futile. As Sarabjit at last passed away in a Pakistani correctional facility. It will be interesting to see how the makers have tried to give us an insight into the life of an Indian prisoner.
'Salamat', 'Mera Junoon' and 'Meherbaan' are some of the best songs from the album but almost all of the songs of 'Sarbjit' have been composed very appropriately. And this why these songs have managed to touch a million hearts as well.
The song 'Dard' will most definitely give listener goosebumps cause of lines like"Main dardon ko paas bitha kar hi soun." While the beats of the 'Tung Lak' song will make you want to dance like no one is watching.
Omung Kumar initially impressed audiences with his directorial debut, 'Mary Kom'. The movie was biographical sports drama starring Priyanka Chopra. With 'Sarbjit' Omung is back and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us, this time around.
Recently launched Kickass Torrents (Kat) mirrors have been shut down by the US government, thanks to added pressure from Hollywood studios. The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAM) sent a warning email to the Armenian Kat.am's owners, following which the domain name was suspended.
Another popular mirror kickasstorrents.website was also shut down by officials, a Kat.am representative told Torrent Freak. "MPAA coordinated with the Armenian registry and got the domain deleted," the representative said. However, the Kat.am team has reportedly launched two new mirrors, kickass.cd as its primary domain and kickass.mx as its proxy on Easy DNS, which is famed for rejecting requests from authorities to take down both Pirate Bay and WikiLeaks. At the time of writing both Kat.am and kickasstorrents.website were down.
"We at Kat.am have successfully been able to resurrect KAT, with the whole database backup, and also developed a mobile version of the site. Community features have also been worked up and the communities will be back soon," Kat.am was quoted as saying by HackRead.
"There were attempts to take down our servers and purge our database but we were able to retrieve a copy of the database on an alternative server, thanks to us being hosted at multiple cloud servers to prevent blockade. Thus, the MPAA failed to achieve its motive, and we won, again. Our springing back up within 3 hours of the blockade stands testimony to it," the Kat.am crew added.
Despite the dangers of operating Kat mirrors, especially after the arrest of the owner of the site, the Kat.am team appears to remain unaffected. "We are not worried, because if it's not us, someone else will keep the game running. If not the alleged owner, it can be us. If we are not there, still there will surely be someone else. This never ends," a representative said.
Despite the misconception of some users, the Kat mirrors are allegedly not connected with the originat Kat site. In fact, the operators of the formerly active Kat.am site said that they were considering posting a notice to users, in efforts to clarify that the mirror is not connected to the original Kat site.
