The migration dialog text may be a little bit confusing, so let me first explain the message behind this warning pop up. In fact STM32CubeMX (same for STM32CubeIDE) detects if the project was created with an older version of the tool and if this is the case, it proposes the user to either migrate to use the latest STM32CubeMX database and STM32Cube firmware version, or to continue.

Basically the message says ;The project was created with a MCU database and FW package that is not present in your repository. It exists actually a newer MCU database and Cube software than the one you used.

You may select continue to use original firmware used at project creation and in this case it will downloaded into your repository as well as the MCU and IPs database (stm32cube_db), or you may select migrate, and in this case your project will be modified to fit the current database definition.

You can choose From Local ...?, then browse to select the zip file of the desired STM32Cube MCU package that has been previously downloaded. An integrity check is performed on the file to ensure that it is fully supported by STM32CubeMX.

I wonder if my post answers your question, if this this case, please click on the Select as Best button on my reply . This will help other members of the community find this solution more quickly

I Remote to a Windows 12 Server, that has SQL Server 2014 install, Visual 2013, SSDT, and Attunity 3.0 for Teradata. I'm new to this existing platform where there are production cubes and their SSIS packages.

I need to copy an existing cube, and make a new one from it, where I plan to make some a number of one off changes. I have already copy/renamed some of the views on the SQL Server that I plan to use in this V2 one-off cube as the data source of Facts and Dimensions. I do not need to alter the source to SQL Server tables at this time.

I open VS, go to File, Open, and go to Analysis Services, and give it the proper server/instance/database, but it doesn't connect. I can go to Management Studios and connect to Analysis services, and then see the production cubes, and the one I want to make a copy of to modify. I can in VS open the packages by going File, Open, and Project Solution, and see the solutions and their packages, but this seems incomplete as a "Cube", or a cube to copy.

It seems as if you are trying to connect to the existing cube in VS (known as online mode) when what you need to do is select File>New>Project and then under the Analysis Services menu choose Import from Server. Then you put in the details of the cube you wish to copy and it'll create a local development version fo the cube (that is, no data but all metadata).

Your exactly right, and thanks for your feedback. I meant to come back and update to share what I learned, but yes, can't connect straight to it as I thought being a newbie. I go in with VS; File, New, Project, and in my case select Analysis Services Tabular Project, and give a new Cube name, select the work space server, then select the existing cube closest to what you want to base the new cube from and you're off to the races.

Also your 3.5.5 is using NuttX and is not recommended at all now, you will not be able to take full advantage of running all thee EKFs for the full redundancy or get the changes in the latest Version to help IMU switching.

Have you forced the boot loader, i would flash a known stable release of 3.5 with forced boot loader and then update to your custom one, your going to have to choose no to Cube Black and then follow that through.

Hi Ekliptiko. Thank you. Not getting tones is an indication to us somethings different. If we recycle power after loading custom 3.5.5 the Cube does not boot up like it should. Nothing works including the coms, so we cannot access the params. All that happens is a slow flash of the blue lights on the Here2 GPS. The problem we are having is a combination of 2 things 1) Recently build Cube (Post 2019 IMU issue), and 2) older stable custom firmware 3.5.5. Change to an older cube or latest firmware and it works. Unfortunately we are stuck with 3.5.5.

Hi MadRC. Once again thanks, its really appreciated. I realized I did not exactly follow your instructions as I should have, but I will do it again. I did use our old PC which had an older version of Mission Planner (ends with 56). I started with 3.6.9 on the new Cube. The result was exactly the same. No activity after loading in custom 3.5.5. I tested it with an older cube and it worked OK.

Hi, problem is resolved. The bootloader needed to be downgraded for the new Cubes to work with 3.5.5 custom fw. Many thanks to the CubePilot team for their help. And looking forward to moving to 3.6.9 custom using ChibiOS as soon as we possibly can.

In the recent v0.33 release of Cube Core, we focused on improving the data modeling experience and conventions in Cube. We've been receiving consistent requests for additional conventions and a more pronounced Cube way of data modeling.

Based on feedback and observations of data modeling patterns across various use cases, we've made changes to Cube's data modeling. These revisions promote best practices to enhance consistency across different Cube projects, and establish a foundation for future conventions.

In addition, we're introducing a Cube style guide that we'll use across documentation, examples, learning materials, and customer engagements. This will help make our materials consistent and easier to maintain. We are making our style guide public and recommend that the Cube community follows it.

Six month ago, we introduced YAML syntax for data modeling in Cube; its adoption has been growing rapidly. YAML syntax provides a way to write concise data model files without too many quotes, backticks, and braces.

With that change, we're also introducing a conventional folder structure for Cube projects. Views are becoming a crucial component of Cube's data modeling, serving as data marts to expose slices of your data graph to BI tools and data applications via APIs. Therefore, they need to have their own designated folder within the project structure.

In the v0.33 release, we are renaming join relationships to use widely adopted terminology: one_to_many, many_to_one, and one_to_one. As with all changes in this release, it's not a breaking change, and the previous names can still be used.

Often, cubes are backed by entire tables in upstream data sources and defined with fairly typical SELECT * one-liners. And so, we're introducing the sql_table parameter to help define such cubes in a more concise way.

In the v0.33 release, we're introducing the cubes parameter in views to include exposed cubes in bulk. You can build your view by combining multiple joined cubes together and specifying the path by which they should be joined for that particular view. You can learn more about views in the documentation.

We've unified visibility management across cubes, views, measures, dimensions, and segments with the public parameter. The default value is true, meaning that all these elements are public, available through APIs, and visible to data consumers by default. However, you can hide some of them by setting this parameter to false.

You may have noticed that the Cube configuration file is still only in camelCase. In version 0.34, we will support snake_case in the configuration file, and we will also introduce initial Python support for configuration. Consequently, it will be possible to write the configuration entirely in Python in a cube.py file. Moreover, this release will bring dynamic data models in YAML with Jinja and Python.

I just got a new (used) G4 cube. It has OS 9 on it and I want to update it to OS X. What is the newest, most up-to-date version it can support? I have heard both OS 10.3 and 10.4 and have no idea which answer is correct.

Any of the last three flavors it is able to use (10.3, 10.4, 10.5) will work. You'll need an 800mhz third-party processor upgrade or install to the Cube from another PPC Mac with that spec or better via FireWire Target Disk Mode in order to get 10.5 on it.
