Rate Limiting despite pacing API calls

Hello,

I am pulling the campaign performance reports by marketer (using the new documentation, not the old/deprecated performance reporting). I pace the API calls (using a static token, not generating new ones), waiting 65 seconds after every 4th API call (which should be well within the rate limiting restrictions of 5 calls per minute for the performance api), but I still get 429 Rate limit exceeded errors.
