Just when you thought it was safe to think about
gaming again, it's time for KapCon XVII. The flyers
are being printed, and should be appearing in your
friendly local gaming store. If you can't wait, full
information should be available on our website at

http://kapcon.rpg.net.nz

To register, use the registration form at

http://kapcon.rpg.net.nz/kapconXVII/register.html

Remember, if you pay early, you get a discount. We
can receive payments by electronic banking, so there's
no need to muck about with cash anymore.

The grovelling emails sent to past GMs have produced
several excellent scenarios, and we look forward to
adding more over the next few months. The list of
current games is here:

http://kapcon.rpg.net.nz/kapconXVII/games.html

We always need more GMs, so if you'd like to run
something, please use the online game submission form
at

http://kapcon.rpg.net.nz/kapconXVII/gameregform.html

Variety is a key feature of KapCon, and we're
interested both in showcasing new game systems and in
supporting old favourites. So, bring us your D&D, your
Cthulhu, your Spawn of Fashan... or anything else that
seems interesting. The only limit is if you can find
vict^H^H^H^H players willing to participate.

Still on the subject of games, we are running the
Scenario Design Contest again this year.
This produced several high-quality submissions last
year, and we're hoping that this year's entries will
be even better. Full details are on the web at:

http://kapcon.rpg.net.nz/kapconXVII/sdc.html

Examples of previous entries are online at:

http://sdc.rpg.net.nz/

And in answer to the most frequently-asked-question:
yes, you can run your scenario at the con. In fact,
that's the point of the exercise - to encourage people
to write cool games, and to write them early, rather
than in the car on the way to the venue :)

There will be a LARP, described as a
"Political-Action-Adventure-Romantic-Comedy".
Preliminary details (including a cast-list) can be
accessed here:

http://kapcon.rpg.net.nz/kapconXVII/larp.html

We will be doing T-shirts this year, available in a
variety of colours and sizes. The design can be seen
here:

http://kapcon.blogspot.com/2007/09/kapcon-t-shirts.html

Finally, for day-to-day (or at this stage,
semi-weekly) updates, check out the KapCon blog:

As always, if you have any questions, email me on
"kap...@gmail.com".

I wonder if anyone from here is planning to goto this and if they are
do they have any suggestions on places to stay?
