D-Con Preregistration & LARP information

It's now just two weeks to D-Con. If you'd like to preregister and avoid
the $5 charge on the day, then please send an email to
ours-c...@kallisti.net.nz, or reply to this message; we need to know
your name and whether you'll be playing in the Live Action game (LARP) on
Saturday the 21st. If you can also let us know which tabletop sessions
you'll be attending, that would also be useful.
About the LARP:
Islomania: A Comedy of Heirs
"Islomania is a rare affliction of spirit. There are people who find
islands somehow irresistible. The mere knowledge that they are in a little
world surrounded by sea fills them with an indescribable intoxication."

Islomania is an innocent few hours diversion in the spirit of the greatest
works of English literature: namely the hugely popular works of Messrs
Gilbert and Sullivan. Players may expect interesting characters, bizarre
plot twists and a rollicking good time, all in the name of Her Royal
Highness, Queen Victoria.
Set on a mysterious island somewhere in the sunny Mediterranean, Islomania
features all the staples of a good Gilbert & Sullivan comedy, sans the
music. Riotous confusion, nautical non-sensery, purposeful perpetration
of progressively perverse puns and unnecessary alliteration will ensue.
And just a little bit of tasteful nudity**.
Players will be asked to exchange their common sense for one of our finely
crafted characters. You may even get a pirate.

** Nota Bene: All nudity will be in character. Any naked players will be
heavily ostracized. With extreme prejudice.

There are still seats available in the OURS Van heading to ChCh for BOD.
Yhis really is a neat convention so don't miss out. Email me back or hunt me
down in person to book your self a seat. This is alos now just open to
anyone who gets this e-mail and wants a cheap trip to chch.(roleplayers get
first dibs though)
Also soome of us are intending to accomidate our selves in some
backpackers. but we can also pester christchurch for billets if you so require
them. so even if you don't want to be in the van but are going to BOD and
etheir want in on a backpackers or to have a billet found for you please
again email me back or hunt me down in person
