Worldarchitecture.org is looking for its young & enthusiastic new editor in ISTANBUL.

Worldarchitecture.org (WA) is looking for an architect -with strong interest in editorial works and new media- to work in the field of web content management.

WA is an international online publication in English, aiming to build a global network between architects and students from all countries. All architects submit their work for the appreciation of the whole world and all activities undertaken by WA are online. 

Experience and interest in web content management, writing and editing for the web, graphic design and site management are expected for this position.

The editor will create content in English and will be in touch with members/architects/offices all around the world; so strong communication skill in English is compulsory.

This person will work closely with the managing editor and the technical team, in a peaceful atmosphere. The office is located in the European side of Istanbul.

Responsibilities

Respond to incoming emails from members and communicate with honorary members (architects and critics worldwide).

Reviewing and highlighting projects 

Managing admin panel (editing content if necessary)

Handle the process of the online awards organization

Writing regular newsletters in English (to be edited by the content manager)

Keep current with architectural scene through relevant blogs, listservers, and events to make blog posts on news section

Making usability tests and providing feedback to software developer

Designing interface and developing new features for the website

Developing the voice of the organization’s presence on social media

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Passion, Energy and Being Attentive to Details!
