It's finally ready for a real release. If you get a chance, please
review. Let us know what you hate, what you love and what you think is
missing. I am planning on filing next week. I know they will wait
until the last possible moment to approve it, so then we will have to
run around and get the signatures to get it on the ballot in time.
Would hate to do it at a special election.

First Response
Don Leard - he wants the Mayor to be a four year term. What does
anyone else think? Majority rules. This is your charter.

The other great response has been to the lower water / sewer rates. A
little for some, a lot for others. But, everyone gets some relief. I
had one person who asked how we would pay for it. Diane said in budget
of 2007 that we didn't really need the increase of the $3.00, so I
figured we were okay then. Then, with the City Admin position going
part time, that pays for more. Plus, they have $100,000.00 to pave a
parking lot, so lets put that money away. If they turn in the water
cooler, that's $360.00 a year. Then with that unplugged, and then
unplug the pop machine, that's some more savings. Then, hey, let's
turn down those heaters during non-use - more savings. Plus, with City
Hall only open 4 days a week, that's more savings. Who else can think
of more to cut?
