MiDdoes not replace your physical license, permit, or non-driver ID. Not all businesses accept MiD, so you must continue to bring your physical driver license, permit, or non-driver ID card with you and use it wherever MiD is not accepted.

The app enrollment process involves taking a picture of the front and back of your most recently issued physical license, permit or non-driver ID card. If you do not have an ID card or it is not easy to read, you must request and receive a new ID card before you can get MiD. See Driver License or Non-driver ID Cards for more information.

The minimum phone requirement is an Android 7 or newer or an iPhone 6 or newer. You cannot download MiD on a smartphone that is jailbroken or rooted, meaning the software has been changed to remove restrictions or limitations placed there by the manufacturer. You must enable Face ID or Touch ID and set your region to the United States.

You can only activate MiD on one device. If you have multiple compatible devices like a smartphone and a tablet, you can only download the app on one device at a time. You can download the app onto your new device if you get a new smartphone. The app will deactivate on the old device.

New York MiD can be used the same ways you use your ID today to verify your age or identity. Now, with MiD, you have full control over the information you share with an MiD verifier. MiD is not just a picture of your physical license, permit, or non-driver ID. It cannot be accepted by visually showing the app to a verifier.

Once the secure, encrypted channel is created between the devices, the verifier will send a request to your smartphone for what identity data they wish to verify. Before any data is provided to the verifier, you must give your approval to release the requested identity data to the verifier. When any data is approved and shared by you, included in what is provided to the verifier is an encrypted key signature that allows the verifier to know the mobile ID was issued by the NYS DMV and can be trusted. You do not need to hand over your phone to present your MiD.

You can use MiD anywhere it is accepted including in other states and countries. Not all businesses accept MiD. Look for the New York MiD logo on a window or door of a business or ask if they accept it.

The MiD app verifies the information on the document you upload to the app and checks your selfie against the photo and information on file with the DMV. Only your Face ID, Touch ID, or 6-digit PIN can unlock the app to gain access to your MiD. If your smartphone is lost or stolen, no one else can access your MiD app.

The mobile driver's license (mDL) is the future of licensing and proof of identity. An mDL is a driver's license that is provisioned to a mobile device with the capability to be updated in real time. It is comprised of the same data elements that are used to produce a physical driver's license, however, the data is transmitted electronically to a relying party's reader device and authenticated. The mDL is a significant improvement over physical credentials which can easily be lost or stolen, become broken or damaged, contain outdated information, offer too much information (including personally identifiable information), and can more easily be replicated by counterfeiters. The mDL offers safe, secure, and trustable technologies that allow for completely touchless transactions, selective information release, data protection, and so much more.

AAMVA's mDL Digital Trust Service (DTS) is the system that supports all member jurisdictions in delivering successful mDL programs to their stakeholders. Providing a single, safe, secure, and resilient means through which relying parties can easily obtain the public keys of each issuing authority will drive the success of mobile driver license programs.

Recently I upgraded and installed a fresh copy of Ubuntu 22.04 LTS on my Lenovo ThinkPad P53, it has a NVIDIA Quadro T1000 Mobile graphics card but ever since moving from Ubuntu 20 I've struggled to have a stable install of any NVIDIA driver and instead used the Nouveau driver.

Under the "Additional Drivers" section of Software & Updates I've got a full list of available drivers but if I switch to any of them I either reboot to a login loop whereby I login and then return to the login screen until I uninstall the driver, or the machine is laggy, crashes, external display is barely usable.

A new FMCSA rule restricts the use of all hand-held mobile devices by drivers of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs). This rulemaking restricts a CMV driver from holding a mobile device to make a call, or dialing by pressing more than a single button. CMV drivers who use a mobile phone while driving can only use a hands-free phone located in close proximity.

Research commissioned by FMCSA shows that the odds of being involved in a safety-critical event (e.g., crash, near-crash, unintentional lane deviation) are 6 times greater for CMV drivers who engage in dialing a mobile phone while driving than for those who do not. Dialing drivers took their eyes off the forward roadway for an average of 3.8 seconds. At 55 mph (or 80.7 feet per second), this equates to a driver traveling 306 feet, the approximate length of a football field, without looking at the roadway!

I am running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, and I was using the nvidia-driver-525 package at the time. Upon reboot however, my laptop would freeze before graphics mode started (I had a black screen with a grey cursor in the top left corner that stopped blinking after a few seconds, and then froze). I was able to enter tty mode and could use prime-select to fall back to my integrated GPU, so I can still access my system relatively normally.

I had a similar issue a few months ago when I tried installing some GPU libraries (I think it was tensorflow) and I might have accidentally broken something at the time. Back then I also fell back to my iGPU for a week or so but after reinstalling the nvidia drivers from scratch my system worked normally again.

Based on similar issues I could find via googling and my own past experience, I have tried purging all nvidia packages and installing nvidia-driver-515 (yes, that is an earlier version from what I was using before, I am aware and that was on purpose) from scratch, but that does not seem to work and the situation remains the same.

Running sudo prime-select nvidia means the blacklist disappears, but it also causes the issue to re-appear immediately (the screen turns black as if it is trying to restart my graphics driver, then the cursor blinks a few times and then freezes without graphics ever appearing. TTY is the only way to get access to my laptop at that point).

dont download any of the above as they are possibly viruses that can harm your computer. please download the original ITUNES and extract it into WinRar, then drag the apple mobile support driver thing into your desktop, and proceed to installing it from there

I had this issue on Windows 10. I did not have a "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple" folder (or in my case since I have Windows 10 x64 "C:\Program Files (x68)\Common Files\Apple". I installed iTunes which gave me the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Devices\Support\Drivers folder. When I tried to update the driver for my iPhone on the PC pointing it to that folder, it told me that I already had the latest driver.
