Theme for 64th UN DPI/NGO Conference

Hi, All, Not sure if I should send this to all the groups, but -- if
you are interested in having the 64th UN DPI/NGO Annual Conference
pick as a theme the Global Commons (the Commons would nto be
understood, I think), then by 9 PM tonight NYC time (Eastern time),
please do this:

send an email to Jeff Huffines, Chair of the NGO/DPI Executive
Committee, with a copy to me, Richard Jordan, Secretary of the
Committee, to express in just two or three sentences

1. the theme you suggest be considered and the organization you
represent

2. WHY this theme is important for NGOs and the UN to discuss

If the Executive Committee receives emails, the them MIGHT be chosen
in the next few months for the conference in September 2011.

If there is not a great deal of interest, then the next time the theme
could be the Global Commons would be in September 2012 and after the
Rio+20 conference.
