Hey lovely people,

First off - a _huge_ thank you to those who showed up for the final meeting. With THREE WEEKS to go before take-off - our weekends are all precious, so thanks for taking the time to make this camp kick-ass! (And Brit - we all wish you a speedy recovery!...We need those hands. :)
So let's jump to it:::

1) MINIMIZE ALL-GROUP EMAILS: (VOTING? EMAIL MIKE ONLY) I've head from a few people recently who are getting overwhelmed with the number of emails coming through the pipeline. There are a few camp members who have limited access/time for email each week, and they're falling behind on catching up due to the sheer volume of emails coming through. With only three weeks to go - please save messages to the google group for crucial, all-camp messages ONLY. Many emails can be addressed to specific people, instead of the entire group. Let's respect the schedules and time commitments of all camp members! :)

2) NEW INFO COVERED AT THE LAST MEETING (for both veterans and virgins alike):

***** Want to know the GREATEST TABOO for group camping? Leaving before set-up and break-down (aka "strike") is complete (huuuge no-no)!! This year we have dedicated Set-up and Strike Captains who will make sure the entire process is a smooth, fast, all-camp affair.
Set-up will be TUESDAY MORNING, and Strike will begin SUNDAY MORNING. That means every member will be up & at 'em early (usually around 9) before the sun starts to scorch and dust storms have a chance to ass-kick. If the RV arrives an hour before sunset, we'll be setting up the parachute Monday early evening so everyone can set-up and rebar their tents in position. Last year set-up was a smooth-like-butter operation, with good vibes throughout. This year, the vets are stoked to do even better :)
Want to leave before Sunday morning? No worries! Since strike takes about 5 hours to complete, all you have to do is contribute your 5 hours before you leave. That means grabbing some trash bags and picking up MOOP (aka "trash") around the camp and generally cleaning up. Very simple, really - and it makes sure that everyone is pulling their own weight (and that you'll be on good terms with camp members who had to bust ass on Sunday when you get back to the bay :)

* Where to wash your hands or brush your teeth? The dish-washing station! ALL 'dirty water' will be going into our grey water system - not on the playa!

* Devine and Juanma - check in with Ori if you still need a ride. It looks like we have you covered :)

* From Fredo: Want to add to our music selection on the playa? Bring your ipod!

* VIRGINS: very, very important that we minimize our grey water and trash. That means - spare showers, military-style for water. And when packing throw away ALL packaging for your goods (no cereal boxes, no battery packaging - etc. etc.)

And that's it, everyone!! Can't wait to see you all on the playa - happy packing, and don't forget your contributions from the inventory list!

XOXO Brig
