Vous pouvez voir aussi le site Internet que j’ai fait pour la Société de l’Histoire de l’Ile Maurice :
Si vous regardez la vie de Marie-Étienne Peltier dans le site www.delanglais.fr vous verrez qu’il est venu à La Nouvelle-Orléans comme second capitaine du Bon Papa pour amener des Acadiens.
Il a vendu le bateau, le 29 août 1785 et il a acheté une propriété à Joseph Xavier de Pontalba qu’il lui a revendue un mois après. Il n’a pas regagné la France.
Est-il allé à Saint-Domingue ? Peut-on le retrouver sur de listes de passagers ou d’équipage partant de la Nouvelle-Orléans ?
Je le retrouve plusieurs années après comme corsaire aux USA !
Qu’a-t-il pu faire ??? Est-il resté sur place ou est-il reparti sur un autre bateau ?
