For whatever reason, I didn't even think about the fact that 3S could be
Michaels. We say that we play Michaels thru 3D I believe.
I remember being taught that you never preempt a preempt. So, does that
mean there should be a minimum points on a Michaels over a preemptive bid?
We also play Michaels as weak/strong. Generally, if you have an
overcall situation you bid a suit first instead of Michales. So does
that mean that a Michaels over a preempt should be at least 15 pts.?

Since it's not Michaels, I guess I'd interpret the 3S bid as strong, but
denying a 5 card suit. Essentially a NT bid assuming that 2NT is still
unusual.
