spots magnitude

Hi CJW lab!

There used to be a field called spots.magnitude in the cellList generated by microbeTracker, which was quite handy, e.g. to compare spots intensities. I don't see it anymore in the Oufti cellLists (even after using the getextradata function). Is it still hidden somewhere or was it completely removed from the data provided by spotFinder?

Hi  Géraldine,

Unfortunately, this field was indeed removed in Oufti. Besides using microbeTracker for your analysis, another workaround would be to use the findIrregularSpots function provided in https://www.embopress.org/doi/full/10.15252/embj.201695513. This function locates spots that may or may not be diffraction limited inside cells identified by Oufti and contains a spotIntentsity field.
