Has this been addressed yet, this cost users a ton of time to hit ok to this stupid message! Has Autodesk done anything to fix this and permanently come up with a solution? if they would like i can send them thousands of drawings and they can go thru them all and type in "purgevehicletracking" or if they would like they can print all of my drawings from the sheet set manager and they can hit "ok" when it processes the files and I have to babysit it. When working between companies not everybody has the same version either so you can't constantly upgrade, do they know how projects work and how tight schedules are????????????
Due to client requirements, we are working in C3D 2018. I am not working on anything that involves vehicle tracking. Others doing more of the design work are. Purging the vehicle tracking data from the files is not an option. But I swear that every time I open a drawing to work, every Xref that loads brings up the notification, and it takes far too much time to click through them all...
It looks like you have not yet installed full vehicle tracking, Civil3D installs part of vehicle tracking as it uses its roundabout module. The full version needs to be installed before the none-roundabout Vehicle Tracking commands are registered. Just loading the ARX/DBX will not enable the full functionality
We have 2022 Civil 3d with vehicle tracking and am trying to back up a WB-67 and the turning radius seems larger than it needs to be. I remember in Autoturn (which is better than this vehicle tracking software IMO) you could set reverse to push/oversteer and get a more accurate depiction of travel. Is there a setting I am not seeing that should be set for a more tighter radius going in reverse; the area I have is limited and in reality a tractor trailer should be able to back into the loading dock without using so much pavement. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi @rjgesp, I hope you're doing fine. When going forward or backward, if you want to get the minimum radius possible for your swept path, turn on the "turn on spot" option. This would be as if the vehicle stopped completely and swerved its steering wheel at its maximum value.
When creating a vehicle path and finishing it, the vehicle and path lock within the vehicle library explorer. It isn't the normal layer locking as in drawing layer. While in this state, I cannot move, edit, or even delete the path. The purge all vehicle tracking data option in the settings works if I then close and reopen my drawing, but I am looking for a solution that doesn't require me to nail the path on the first shot.
