CitySec Ottawa is back by popular demand! Stop by to discuss the latest infosec buzz. If anyone would like to give a five-minute lighting talk on current topics, tools or threats, please let me know.
Topic: Mother Splunker! Go beyond SIM/SIEM without breaking the bank!
This month's presentation will give a quick overview of Splunk. Splunk is a platform for IT search that enables you to build completely customizable dashboards, to have alerting and forensic capabilities for security, availability and application troubleshooting, and more. We'll focus on the following items:
-Getting Splunk up and running
-Routing data into Splunk
-Tweaking for your environment
-Splunk for OSSEC integration
-Plans to leverage Splunk for NSM 2.0
Where:
The Clock Tower Brew Pub, 575 Bank St (Bank at Pretoria). We'll be in the
room downstairs.
When:
