Hi fellas,

I was testing otto on Windows (I know ... I know) but stumble uppon an Issue while running the command otto dev ssh. I have a Putty ssh client and oviously the otto comman coudn´t find the ssh binary.

So, is there any way of seting up another ssh client in a windows enviroment?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Alfonso.

I use Git for Windows which installs Git Bash on Windows 10. As long as I set my PATH variable up properly (followed the Otto Install instructions) to point where Otto was installed then I could `otto dev ssh` perfectly.

Not sure if they helps or not for you though.

@Jay,

Do you have a small write up of your steps getting "otto dev ssh" running on Windows?

It will probably help with below issue:

https://github.com/hashicorp/otto/issues/322

I was trying with Git Bash on my side as well but was not able to get it running (something about incorrect protocol type). Thanks!

I second the use of git for windows. It solves a lot of issues like the ability to run sh scripts, grep, ssh.

During the install there is an option "run git and included unix tools from the windows command prompt" which will automatically setup the path for you.

There is a warning about it over-riding built in windows tools but I have never had an issue.
