I'm a little fuzzy on how to share / use existing aws infrastructure. I have an existing consul cluster that was not created with otto.

If I create an app "app1" how could I make it use my existing Consul cluster?

Maybe the better workflow is to create a consul cluster with otto. How could I then point my new apps at this cluster?

also should the .otto folder be in version control?

Thanks in advance.

I'm still figuring this out myself and don't have an existing AWS infrastructure, but my guess is that you'd need to specify the dependency.
What I do know is that the .otto folder should _not_ be in version control according to the docs here https://www.ottoproject.io/docs/concepts/compile.html

To make Otto know about your existing infrastructure; it needs to be in the "Directory" and it uses UUID in .ottoid to lookup; which as of v0.2 is only available locally at: ~/.otto.d/directory/otto.db
