Good morning,

I am emailing you to ask your help in finding my dog who was taken from my yard in Ottawa, Ontario on February 24, 2011.

I have attached a poster and a photograph of her.  There have been many dogs in my area that have gone missing lately.

I believe that presently it is not policy but may I cordially suggest that in the future, all dogs that are brought in for veterinary care be scanned for a microchip?  I understand that this is not common practice at this time.  Some people are benefiting from this policy because they are stating that stolen dogs are rescues therefore there are usually no questions asked when a dog is brought in.  Stolen dogs are often sold as rescues.  No one should have to go through the pain I have been living since my baby girl was taken.  Would you please help?

Thank you for any help and information you may provide in helping me locate Jazzie.  I feel like I have been living a nightmare since she disappeared...

If   multiple pets go missing in a neighborhood these are  some possible reasons for these abductions

- to use as bate dogs for pit bull fighting
- to sell to laboratories for experiments (Currently) Ontario is one of two provinces that allows pounds to sell their cats and dogs  for a meger $10-$20 to laboratories.  There are people called Bunchers who do this for a living collect animals and sell them  to Universities and laboratories. Never  offer free pets in advertisements as they are always looking  for these free animals so they can sell them.

 - Hoarding

-  to start puppy mills, or to sell to puppy mills

- potential human serial killers practising on animals
