History of the Bank St corridor in OOS

Glenn Clark, President of the Gloucester Historical Society, has taken on the colossal task of researching and documenting the history of the buildings along Bank Street from the Bank Street Canal Bridge to Billings Bridge. This follows from his 2022 Jane's Walk and this year, in 2023, he will be launching a book entitled 'Bridge to Bridge' with a comprehensive history of Bank Street in Old Ottawa South.  

In the meantime, the latest issue of the Gloucester Historical Society Newsletter (Vol. 23 No 4) includes a teaser of some of his work with an article entitled 'Lost Old Ottawa South' detailing the history of a few lost neighbourhood buildings.

Kudos to Glenn for bringing this history to light!
