Hi all,

In case you haven't heard, the City of Ottawa Museums & Archives recently launched a virtual collections catalogue.
Currently there's about 34,000 records in the database, with plans to grow.

I haven't looked in any organized fashion yet but it's fun to randomly browse the images.
Here's a couple with Old Ottawa South connections; both from the Andrews-Newton fonds (Ottawa Citizen photographer) at the City of Ottawa Archives so there's likely a corresponding news story for the same date.

CA003990 House at 215 Sunnyside (1954)

CA004805 House on Riverdale, where boy fell out 3rd floor window (1954)

Well worth a look!

The blog OttawaHH has put together a compilation of some of the City of Ottawa Archives images for easy browsing:

Plus, also from OttawaHH, a bonus pic, this one from the Canadian Mortgage & Housing Corporation collection, a 1963 snapshot of Sunnyside Avenue at Bellwood

Enjoy!

Kathy
