Wakefield Sacred Harp All Day Singing!

🎼 Oh, COME LOUD ANTHEMS LET US SING! 🎼

The Wakefield Shape Note Singers invite you to the Wakefield Sacred Harp All Day Singing on Saturday, October 11th 2025. Join us at 9:30 a.m. at the Rupert Community Centre in La Pêche, Québec, for registration.

An All Day Sing is a full day of singing shape note music from the Sacred Harp book. It is a wonderful occasion to experience the tradition and style of singing for new and experienced singers alike. We will sing together from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with breaks, announcements, a pot luck provided by local singers as well as a social gathering at the end of the day.

Be part of our history: We will be the first all-day singing in Canada to sing from the 2025 revision of the Sacred Harp song book!

All are welcome to join for free! No previous knowledge or skills needed, but you can learn more about shape note singing and the Sacred Harp here: https://fasola.org/

In the meantime, join us every Tuesday evening to sing from the Sacred Harp from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fairbairn House. Dress warm!
