Important Tri question...

So we have lost out on Lake Placid 70.3 this year and it's off again next year.  Only options that work of offered alternatives are Maine in August or Atlantic City in September.  

Question - has anyone done Atlantic City and if so...Feedback?

I've already done Maine and I try for new records at each race.  If i did Maine again I would have to do better.  If i never repeat a race...ALWAYS a PB!

There are a number of non-IM events that are well worth doing, especially the independent ones. It depends on how far you’re willing to travel and which ones you have already done, if you don’t like repeat events.

i would agree 100%, but in this case i signed up for Lake Placid last year.  I can take my 75$ return of take one of the offered alternatives.  Maine and Atlantic City are the only ones that work with schedule and perhaps likelihood of even happening.

You could try to ask for Mt Tremblant. Or try to get a full refund. I am working through my credit card company right now to try to get a full refund through "chargeback due to service no delivered". It sounds promising so far.

I checked around a little and seems to be very flat, a little crowded on the bike portion, and not terribly scenic when compared to LP of Tremblant. However, let's do it! I have the same options for rebooking as you...I would prefer Maine, but if we can get a small contingent from OTC, any event will be fun, and we will all PB for sure.

so I've already done Maine, and i think i might have read the same reviews as Tyler on Atlantic City.  Maine was nice, but not awesome.  Course was good but atmosphere - flat.  Might have been because i did Tremblant prior which was in retrospect - way over the top awesome.  I'm going to sign up for Atlantic City.  Everyone/Anyone welcome to come join me.  Fingers crossed - if it ain't pretty hopefully it will be fun...either way ANOTHER PB!!

just to be clear - I'm talking Atlantic City - 2021.  I'm not crossing the border in 2020!
