I completed the virtual OTC long Tri two Sundays ago (June 14), as follows:
- 15 minutes of strength (the OTC 10 video)
- 30 km bike ride - YES, I totally misread the clear instructions and did 30 km instead of 20 km (bike time was 1:15, including a few stops at red lights and intersections, which of course I stopped for since it wasn't a closed course race circuit) ;-)
- 5 km run (which turned into a run-walk since my quadriceps were really cramping up throughout. 'Run' time was over 35 mins as a result).
Participant photos: #1) selfie near my bike finish line in the Experimental Farm (the 30 km/hour sign not quite a true reflection of my average bike speed, but whatever); #2) since there was no OTC tent for me to get a post-race chocolate milk, I headed directly to the Tim Horton's across from my run finish line for a post-race chocolate milk - a true Covid-19 era experience since I had to walk through the drive through to get it; #3) the Lightning Bolt while enjoying my cold choco milk.
Fun times! I'll try to do another virtual race before July 15.
