Do you participate in a time-based sport? Researchers at the University of Ottawa are conducting a study on the usefulness of an online self-compassion training program for athletes, to gain a better understanding of the role of self-compassion in athlete well-being and sport performance. In order to be eligible, individuals must be able to read and understand English, be over the age of 16, and currently train or compete in an individual time-based sport (e.g., running, swimming, biking, rowing).
There are two groups involved in the study, one which consist of approximately 6 hours of online research activities over a 4-week period, and the other that consists of 1 hour of research activities over a 4-week period. Both groups will receive the self-compassion intervention training program.
Some potential benefits of participating in this study may include enhanced well-being and improved sport performance.
There are no known risks involved in your participation in this study.
