Hi Guys,

Three questions:

1.    Who would you use to mount new tires?

2.    Who would you use for a timing belt replacement?

3.    We have not had a get-together for a long time.  How about a =
coffee meet?  Maybe that Starbucks on Carling?

Or come to the Trainyards Sunday morning from 10:00 to 12:00.  Lots of =
cars to see!

Cheers,

Kevin.

FWIW, my answers:

1.  Any reputable shop.  Same with an oil change.
2. My guy Jamie, or a guy who was recommended by this group.
3. I'm away until next Monday 😔

I do think we should have a NSX meet in September, we can meet somewhere central like the IKEA parking lot like we did a few years back.  Weekday works as well for me.  We also have a new NSX owner in Ottawa that would come.

Kevin, I have a great NSX tech if need be as well.

Ditto. It’s all a matter of day and time.
Kids have classes and co-ops that require pickup so suggest a time and date and I’ll make sure I’m there.

Just got home from a splendid 2 hr drive tonight, just wandering aimlessly around ottawa.

Hey Steve Sharzer! I was at the Import Car Centre today and they started talking about their customer who owns a Focus RS and an NSX!

Good stuff!   Oh, oh!  I just happened to be at Campbell Ford and while they were servicing the RS, I also just happened to walk over to Import Car Centre.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

They have a modified RS there that just arrived.  They asked me to test drive it and give them my impressions.  There are actually several mods. The only thing visible is a large rad for the turbo at the bottom of the front grille (and even then you have to look to see it) and a lower stance. It drove great - it’s tight and sorted.  Corners better and accelerates better than my stock version. It is also stealth grey like mine. If I switched mine, my wife would never notice 😜!  Well except for the better exhaust noise.

So what were you doing there?  Hmmmm?

Nothing too exciting for me. I am shopping for a new daily driver pickup to replace my aging and beloved Ridgeline and was kicking tires. I mentioned the Focus RS looked spiffy and they were trying to educate me on performance cars using big words like "turbo", "coilovers" and "ecu tuning".  I just let them ramble.

LOL!  I hope you were paying attention John 😉.   I bought my NSX from them as well as the RS4.   I like dealing with them because they supply sometimes high mileage cars but ones that are in good shape.  They also understand and cooperate fully when I want to get a car checked out by an independent mechanic.  When I got the RS4, Dan phoned me from TO to say they had found one and were prepared to acquire it.  I said I was definitely interested but could not commit until I had it checked out.  They brought the car to Ottawa and took it to Gene Myres at European Motorworks at my request.  Gene gave the stamp of approval.  They also gave me a decent price on my STI that I traded in.  I also like that I am not paying for high overhead on a luxury showroom.
Good luck with your Ridgeline replacement.
