Hello everyone,

My name is Peter Bernier, and I'll be coordinating the volunteer
efforts at this year's IT Camp.

First of all, let me express my sincere thanks to the volunteers who
have agreed to help out on April 14th. These events simply could not
happen without the participation of terrific volunteers such as
yourselves.

Before the big day, there are a number of planning items that we need
to get organized around. Primarily this means ensuring that there are
room monitors for each track throughout the event, and also that
there's at least one person at the registration desk at all times.

We have five confirmed volunteers so far, but I'm hoping that number
will increase as we get closer to the event. (For anyone happening to
read this email on the Google Groups list, if you're interested,
please feel free to contact myself or Charles, all efforts are
appreciated!)

One of the big changes for the event this year is that we'll be
collecting registration fees. It would help very much if we get some
additional hands on deck to assist with that effort, particularly in
the morning so that we don't end up with a big line.

For the volunteers, as a first step I'd like to get an idea of which
tracks or sessions each of you are planning to attend. If everyone is
willing to Monitor the sessions that they're interested in, that will
be a terrific starting point. Personally, I'm planning on alternating
between the Fundamentals and ThinKlient tracks for most of the day.

If you would like to volunteer for the event, please send me a quick
list of which track (Fundamentals, ThinKlient, Windows 8, SQL, or IT
Pro) you're planning to attend for each session (1,2,3,4 and 5). If
you're not available for a specific session, or if you're not
particular about which session you attend, that would be good to know
as well.

Also, we're making an effort to collection the presentation materials
as soon as the sessions finish this year. Could each volunteer please
bring a USB key in order to copy the materials (slide decks, code,
PDFs etc) for each session that you attend?

Here's a link to the session information :

Please also include your phone number so that we can get in contact if
need be.

I'll be sending out a coordinated list to all the volunteers as we
approach the date of the Event.

Thank you again for anyone considering volunteering, I'm sure this
event will be a terrific success!
