Hi,

The cost of the food order will be around $350.00 plus tax.  I have ordered 500 wings and 3 veggie trays.  The bar will throw in some fries and if we do not use all of the food order they will simply reduce that from our bill.  Which seems unlikely considering people show up at these parties and devour any food we put out.

Edwin it is recommended that you test your presentation the before the party to make sure you can connect with their AV equipment.

Cheers,

Blaine
Im ok with the 11th…go ahead and book….

Hi,

I have heard back from two of you (Yes to both).  I have to confirm with Lieutenant’s pump later this afternoon if we are reserving that date and time.  Any volunteer's for the presentation.  If I do not hear back by 3:30 pm today I will assume you are ok with this.  I will send you the cost once i talk to the owner regarding the food.  2 x wings, 2 x veggie platter, 2 x finger food, 2 x fries.

Cheers,

Blaine

And, for the presentations, instead of the usual technical topics, would it make sense to do non-technical presentations? Like preparing to advance your career in 2014 or becoming a better IT professional? Yes, I’m advocating for the soft-skills development for the greater Ottawa IT community J

Great idea!

Sent from my Nokia Lumia 1020

Hi,

I thought I would send this email out to resurrect the Christmas party social.  So my working idea is we meet at a bar on Elgin, have a few finger food orders but nothing large or expensive.  Maybe a few speeches or presentations.  Everyone buys their own drinks and meals if they wish and the rest of the time is for socializing.

How does a working date of Dec.11th sound?

I spoke to lieutenant’s Pump and they have that time and space available

What kind of numbers can we expect 40 to 50?

Time: 6:00 pm– 8:00 pm

I have to let them know tomorrow so get back to me ASAP.  Also some $$$$ for the food order would be needed.

Cheers,

Blaine
