Do the same as usual , the three groups…get together, not sure about panels and stuff…it is more for a social but not a bad idea.

I would do maxwells or lieutenants pump

"vulture hunting", as an event?  Nah, I think a whiskey tasting is a good idea though ;)

Hi Folks,

Just an update on were we are with the end of year party.

1) Maxwell’s (upstairs room) has been booked for June 19th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
2) Microsoft has rescheduled the Windows 8 panel to Sept.  So this will not be part of the event.
3) What kind of budget do we have for this event?  What funds/sponsorship can the UG’s offer to pay for food and some door prizes.
4) What kind of activities do we want to have?  Any volunteers?

Cheers,

Blaine

Have them put food on two or more tables at the same time.  Number each table and as people arrive give them a ticket (just a piece of paper with a #, a code, or unique word) so they only go to one table for food...

You could make it dynamic by naming a table by a range of letters in peoples first name.  e.g. table 1 is a-j and table 2 is k-z .  If we add a table: table 1 is a-g, table 2 is h-n and table 3 is o-z.

I was thinking of a “Creative way” of controlling the people that just appear to eat the goodies and leave nothing for anybody else…

Or do we think more creatively on “how to feed a mass of people” without going broke?  Alter the location so there is more budget for food maybe?
