As part of our product verification team, the candidate’s role will be
focused on assuring quality of the company’s products. The Test
Engineer will be responsible for writing test procedures, test plans
as well as reporting on the progression of tests. The candidate should
also have a desire to be challenged, adapt quickly, learn new
technologies and work hard as the company grows.

Responsibilities

Test software releases during product development
Report test results and enter problems and issues into the bug
database
Configure necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to
complete assigned testing
Write or assist in the development of test plans and test procedures
Complete assigned test-related tasks
Assist in the automation of relevant test procedures
Assist in reviewing of test processes as they are developed

Qualifications

Ability to analyze a problem and complete detailed reports
Ability to methodically produce the steps which exhibit bugs in the
product and communicate these steps
Works equally well in a team environment or independently
Excellent communication skills: written & oral

Possess sufficient language skills to be able to communicate with peer
QA and Development engineers regarding software defects
Sufficient knowledge/experience working with Microsoft or Linux/UNIX-
based operating system(s)
Familiarity with testing methodologies and the defect reporting
process
Experience with automated testing tools and ticketing systems
Experience or training with programming in Java or C/C++
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant
experience

Preferred

1-5 years of experience testing computer software and development of
computer software
Knowledge of programming languages and source control systems
Understanding of two-way radios
