Ott.rec.books is a newsgroup to discuss books and literature. Participants
may post book reviews, discuss favourite books, interpretations on
classics, make recommendations, etc. In the same way that local book
clubs do, the group may also suggest books which can be read by the
group simultaneously, so that discussion on that particular book can
occur. As interest grows, ott.rec.books discussions may also diverge into a
group which meets locally to borrow hard-to-find books, discuss over
beer, recommend local book stores, etc.,
Crossposting:
All crossposting is discouraged. Excessively crossposted messages will be
cancelled, regardless of content. In the event that crossposting is deemed
a problem, more stringent crossposting limitations/restrictions will be
implemented.
Commercial messages:
Messages which are deemed "commercial" will be cancelled, regardless of
crossposting and/or Followup-to: headers. See the ott.business.ads
charter for commercial posting rules in the ott.hierarchy.
