Things died down a bit from a biz point of view but from the work
point of view things only seemed to get heavier. First off was
rebuilding of our kitchen. Out with the old oven/grill, in with a
brand new propane oven/grill and a second electric grill. Fun Fun.
That was a ton of work, but it meant I didn't get a day off that week.
But that was ok, because this is something the girls in the kitchen
have needed for many years. I was pretty happy to help make it come
true. I also like the fact that we seem to be able to keep up a little
better to our big rushes on the weekend. Just think, we still have
another thermostat to add to the electric grill, so then we'll really
be cookin'.
We also finally fixed one of our lighting strings that has been
causing us issues for the past few years. That was nice to finally put
to bed. Too bad they couldn't have solved the problem for us in the
fall, but frost heaves and underground wiring have a funny way of
working sometimes.
I got my truck back at the end of the week. It hasn't caused me any
brake issues since. Odd, I thought the problems I was experiencing
since day one were "normal".
Then there was the Friday that it rained in all day up to km from the
mountain but snowed here all day. Schaweet. Then the next day we got
slammed again, only this time things ran very smoothly. The guys at
the bottom did a kick ass job. Thanks to Timmy for helping out that
day. Speaking of doing a kick butt job, every department up here was
short staffed that day and everyone stepped up and delivered. I don't
think I could have scripted it better. Thank you so much to our hard
working staff
