Just wondering if I have to put any special coolant in my bike or can I just
use Prestone?

I have a 1985 Honda Interceptor 500cc Liquid Cooled V4....this is my first
bike and I'm rather new to this whole thing. It's still in pretty good shape
and I'd like to keep it that way.

Thanks,

Scott

just make sure that whatever you use is compatible with aluminum.

Suggest you do a complete flush (and if possible, a back flush), check the
thermostat while you're at it (and replace if necessary), and add new
coolant.

Use silicate free coolant. They sell pre-mixed coolant in any bike store and
it's not that expensive.

Thanks for the help guys and girls.......

Unfortunately I'm off the bike for a few weeks due to an Achilles tendon
injury. Maybe by the end of June. Until then it just sits in the garage and
annoys the neighbours for a few minutes every couple of days.(gotta keep the
battery charged ya know ;])
