I'm looking to insure a 1970 250 BSA - seems most companies do not want to
insure anything more than 25 or 30 years old.

Please advise if you know of a broker or insurer that will cover the older
machines.

Thanks!

I've had good luck with Kingsway so far. Having said that, my GL1100 turns
25 this year...

Halpard had my bike with Kingsway for 4 years and they refused to insure it
after it turned 25 years old, so you may be in for a surprise this year or
next. Halpard had another alternative, Javeco I think. He is one of the
only brokers I could find who would take on a bike insurance without having
your car, etc insured with him as well.
Good luck

Yes, I tried Jevco when I first insured the bike two years ago, and they
were close in price, but they wanted the entire premium up front. Kingsway
was willing to spread it over three or four payments, which at the time was
a bonus because I came across some unexpected safety check surprises. ("Yup,
the bike should pass safety, no problem!", he said) Oh, well. Live and
learn.
