Original Oil Paintings
During the 1980s Heather Jean McKenzie knew she had a passion for the arts
and in 1990 she brought this passion to life through her oil paintings. She
has studied in Chicago, Illinois, Stratford, Ontario and most recently spent
3 weeks studying and painting in France. Her reputation as a garden
landscape artist has risen steadily and her artwork now hangs in many
private and corporate collections throughout Canada, the United States and
Europe.
Heather combines bold colours with a delicate sense of harmony to deliver
impressionistic landscapes based on imaginary and real-life gardens. Born
and raised in Chatham Ontario, a sleepy agricultural town nestled between
Lake Erie and Lake Huron in the warmest corner of southern Ontario, she has
also lived in nearby London, Cambridge and Stratford (which she now calls
home). These small towns, with their turn-of-the-century homes and English
gardens inspire many of her fresh, floral landscape paintings.
Today, Heather works from her studio in Stratford, Ontario, executing
commissions to paint private and public gardens, and in spare moments,
painting what she likes in hope of pleasing others.
Catherine Pulcine Interiors is pleased to be the first to have Heather do a
private Exhibition and Sale in Canada's Capital Region.
