Whos up for some tracking? We have located a wonderful sand
bar near Fort Smith, and wanted to get a few days tracking out there.
July 25th and 26th will be our next tracking club meetup / campout. We
will get out there mid afternoon on Saturday, camp that night, and
then get some morning tracking in on Sunday. Please let me know if
you are interested, email me at ots.c...@gmail.com

If some people want to carpool we can try to set that up.

Hope to see you there

i  will be a Tom brown's taking a standard class, but I will meet up with you later.  Thanks for putting me on the list, and I hope to join you in the future.  Thanks for keeping me informed.

Adam:
I'll be out as well, but have fun at Standard class.  Let me know how you like it.  Once again, I really enjoyed tracking with you in Texarkana.
JA
When do you leave for you standard?

hey jon...yeah, i enjoyed the tracking too.  I can't wait to get into the tracking club and meet some more people.  It's hard to push yourself by yourself when everyone else wonders why the heck you don't just use a lighter.  I'm in standard class from the 19th to the 25th.  I can't wait!   Will talk to y'all when I get back!

i'll do it jeff.  What do you look like, so I'll recognize you?  I'm 6' tall with a beard and dark hair, late twenties.

I am 6' tall, 340 pounds, but carry it real well and look like a movie star. I will be in full german flecktarn cammo uppers and traditional lipan apache loin cloths and leggins. I will have a tracking stick made out of a large dried bull phallus, dyed flourescent pink and I will also have a tracking bag carried in the belly bag style. the Sandwich sign I will have on will say "adam, I luv U" on one side and " tracking Slut" on the other. I am dressing down a little so they will let me come back this time. Its been a long suspension.

seriously, I am a large, white, balding dude age 40 from oklahoma. usually, the guys from the previous class are gone when the new class arrives. I have no special attire to wear, but if I remember, I will put an OTS shirt on for you. that should be enough to stand out from the hippies. Have fun, you should enjoy the class very much.

Jeff--That's crazy.  That's how I always have pictured you.
Jeff and Adam--I will be curious to find out what percentage of the tracking school population fits the description of 6', bearded and twenty something.
You guys have fun and travel safe.  Hope you connect, if not there, we need to introduce you here.

Denise, look up tom brown jr. tracker school on the web.  The standard class is the first level...sort of the entry into the rest.  It gets more advanced from there.  It's expensive, but people speak very well of it.

I've been traveling the past two weeks and depending on my iphone for internet so I had trouble finding the info. But I'm home now and have the link. I'm looking forward to finding a time to get down to Arkansas and take some classes! Thanks for your help.

Man, my mom popped her birthday plans on me at the last minute and now I can't go.  I'm really sorry.  I'm getting really frustrated about missing the tracking meets.  They really inspire me and teach me a lot.  Argh!  Hopefully next time.

K here are the directions, we will be getting started around 3pm or so
on saturday, and leaving sometime sunday

Here are directions to the sandbar:

From I-40 take I-540 south toward Fort Smith/Van Buren. Take exit 3
for Van Buren/Hwy 59 south. Take a left at the stop sign and another
left at the next stop light. You will be on Hwy 59 south. Take it for
approx 6 miles. You will see a brown sign for Haroldton Fishing
Access. Take a right and go down that road...sandbar is obvious.

To contiune to Springhill Park and campground:
Keep going south on 59 across the river another 1.5 miles from Fishing
Access. You will see a brown sign for Springhill Park. Take a left
into the park.
