Hi,

I received 2 alerts in the past 9 days.
I'm using otrs-6.0.28.

subject: OTRS Scheduler Daemon Cron: MailQueueSend

The body starts with:
ERROR: OTRS-otrs.Console.pl-Maint::Email::MailQueue-59 Perl: 5.20.2
OS: linux Time: <DATE>

Then there are many lines of debug. One of them being:
Message: CommunicationLog([...])::Kernel::System::MailQueue =>
Temporary problem returned from server, requeuing message for sending.
Message: SMTPCode: 451, ErrorMessage: Could not send message to
server: 451, Go ahead j4sm19123399wrm.85 - gsmtp!

The body finishes with
Error: Could not send message with ID '425'! Please refer to the log.
Error: Failed.

From the message id (j4sm19123399wrm.85) I could verify that the email
was indeed sent one minute later (found the corresponding article
using grep on /var/article/).
But what does the id 425 refer to?

The second alert has the same subject.

The body also starts with:
ERROR: OTRS-otrs.Console.pl-Maint::Email::MailQueue-59 Perl: 5.20.2
OS: linux Time: <DATE>

Then there are many lines of debug. One of them being:
Message: CommunicationLog([...])::Kernel::System::MailQueue =>
Permanent sending problem or we reached the sending attempt limit.
Message will be removed

The body finishes with
Error: Could not send message with ID '520'! Please refer to the log.
Error: Failed.

I can't find the message id a67sm13838135wmc.30 anywhere in my articles.
How can I retrieve the message to try and send it again?

Thanks for your help
Regards
Santiago

Here's the problem. Google have a sending limit via smtp (It's like 100 per minute or something you can look it up). Unless you have a business account that allows more.

Hi Anthony,

And thank you for your help.

Yes I saw the warning from Google. It's not a problem if an email is not sent at time T. It can be sent at T+1m or T+10m or even T+1h I don't mind. My concern is when the message is not sent at all.

The first email with warning was sent later. Fine. My question is how can I retrieve the second message? Was it sent at some time after the error? Was it completely destroyed (that would be a terrible programming mistake imho)? Is it sitting somewhere waiting for me to push the resend button?

Regards
Santiago

And also there is the 'Communication Log' in the admin menu that might shed more light..

Also, as a thought, those messages in OTRS sometimes come with attachments with strange names that are usually the original message or least more info if you want to double check them..

Hi and thank you very much for your help.

The mail queue seems empty:
$ sudo -u otrs /opt/otrs/bin/otrs.Console.pl Maint::Email::MailQueue --list
Mail queue is empty.
Done.

But that's no surprise since the error says that the unsent message was removed.

The communication logs show this :

I still don't see how I can get to this (possibly) unsent message #520.

If you have any idea, please let me know, otherwise, I'm going to let
it go as unresolved error.
It's the only unresolved one I had in a month. I'm ok with this.

Best regards
Santiago
