Convert matrices into images for a real effort task

Hi all,

I am working on my experiment with a real effort task of counting characters in a matrix. I am having some issues with creating images for the matrices. I posted my question in stack overflow: https://stackoverflow.com/q/68607054/16415439

I am very new to all these, so any advice and suggestions would be much appreciated! I understand there are some ways to create the image with Python, but I do want to see if there is a way to do it in html/javascript.
