Large-scale Data Collection possible on oTree?

Dear oTree community,

I wanted to check if anybody has experience using oTree to do large-scale data collection -- as an alternative to Qualtrics or SurveyCTO? We wanted to collect data from a million respondents, and were wondering if deploying a survey on oTree would be more cost effective than either Qualtrics/SurveyCTO. 

Prima facie, would we have to do anything apart from provisioning one of the higher-tiers of Postgres add-on on Heroku (and other dynos)?

Any pointers would be extremely helpful. Thanks a lot!

Yes use higher Postgres/dynos, and follow the guidelines here: https://otree.readthedocs.io/en/latest/server/heroku.html#server-performance
