Very large oTree session (in combination with Prolific)

Dear all,

I want to collect 1500 observations via Prolific. I am planning to use one big oTree session. A colleague told me to make the oTree session bigger (given that dropouts will still use up one “slot” in oTree). His suggestion was to add 50% on top.

Here are my questions:

1.)    Are there any downsides to having this one very big oTree session of 2250 people?

2.)    Has anyone here ever successfully run such big oTree session?

Oh and one related question:

I am using Heroku and during the study I will use the highest (most "powerful") settings which are possible through oTree-Hub.

How many participants will the server handle? Should I be concerned about server capacity with such a big session?

Should be no problem generally. People have done studies much bigger.
