Hej!

I messed up something on Heroku or oTreeHub as I am getting these messages for a project I deployed via otreeHub/Heroku. In fact, the warning pops up on the SessionStartLinks page already.  In addition, I do not receive that warning if I run the project locally. I do not experience this problem with other projects (I also deployed via otreeHub/heroku)

Any idea how to solve it?

DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for https://[projectname].herokuapp.com/static/bootstrap5/js/bootstrap.bundle.min.js.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE
receiving

the second warning is similar but corresponds to bootstrap.min.css.map:

Thanks for the quick response!

I'd like to ignore it but it seems as if It prevents bootstrap from working properly. Does this mean that I have some other problem or that the problem will disappear with your next release?

Best regards

This warning should not affect any functionality. The .map files are just used to give more info to the debugger.

Your server is running oTree 5 (aka oTree Lite), which uses Bootstrap 5. Bootstrap 5 is mostly compatible with Bootstrap 4, but has some differences. See here: https://otree.readthedocs.io/en/latest/misc/otreelite.html#bootstrap and also see the bootstrap docs.

Is everything visually broken, even the oTree admin interface? like no fonts and styles loading at all? or is it more like minor visual differences?

Thank you, explicitly specifying an older otree (and thus, implicitly bootstrap) version helped!

I experienced minor visual flaws such as badges that were not displayed or a grid that looked a little messy. But this is solved now. Thank you!
