Whatyou need to do is to know how to apply an IPS or UPS patch to these ROMs. What happens is that you need to do a step-by-step procedure to transform a .IPS or .UPS into a .GBA file.

In this procedure, we will guide you on how to apply a .IPS patch. The patcher we will use is Lunar IPS. This patcher will only work on .IPS formats. We will also use the Rocket Edition Final v1 as our .IPS file which we will patch with FireRed as the base game.

If you look hard enough, you may find an actual ROM with a .GBA format of the ROM hack that you want. Most of the time, these files are available if the ROM hack is currently having an update or patch being made for it.

I am struggling to get the updated Nameless (4.12) and I am following the steps but when I try to open the game in MyBoy the screen flashes white then goes to black! I am irritated by this! What am I doing wrong here?

Hi there Phoenix. Infinite fusion is made with RPG Maker or Essentials. Therefore patching is not required to play the game. Install the game directly on your Windows PC, almost like a normal software installation. If you wish to play it on Android, see our guide on How To Play RPG Maker XP Games On Android. Hope this helps.

Hey Ashley, thanks for coming here. First off, Radical red is a FireRed rom. So you need to find and use a clean FireRed rom for patching, preferably the older version, which is V1.0 that most rom hacks require for patching. You can also watch this video on how to patch rom hacks with NUPS =9ch5EPf8z80. Hope this helps.

I downloaded the latest GS Chronicles and played it to the point where my guys are level 16 and evolving but as soon as any of them evolve it crashes my game. I have seen several people ask this question but with no response. How do you fix this problem?

hey, i imagine my issue is an easy fix and im just struggling because ive never been good with files and coding and the like. im trying to patch pokemon saiph to firered, however when i go to patch them nups says that theres an error opening the firered file. i can open the firered file fine on my emulator, so im not sure why its having issues opening if it can run as is. again, probably a really easy thing to fix, sorry if im asking the obvious or its a silly mistake, i really struggle with anything even remotely behind the scenes in computers and just patching them together period feels so out of my depth

I've recently been trying out the brilliant cartridge rumble hacks made by djedditt for Super Mario Advance 4 and Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga and they work great with the GBA core, but for whatever reason, his Pokemon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire rumble patch just doesn't work on the GBA MiSTer core. The game itself works fine, but the controller just refuses to rumble...

Apparantly the Pokemon Pinball RS patch works just fine on GBA hardware with the appropriate rumble motor flash cart, but it just does nothing on MiSTer... considering that all of his other patches work just fine on the GBA MiSTer core and on real hardware, I was wondering if it might be an issue with how rumble is implemented on the GBA core that is preventing the Pokemon Pinball RS patch from working specifically?

Has anyone managed to get the patch working on the GBA core by any chance? (All other rumble games, including Drill Dozer, Wario Ware Twisted; and the other two rumble patched games work just fine, it's just Pokemon Pinball RS that I just can't get working)

I don't do anything special in Pokmon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire regarding rumble signals. Having looked at the MiSTer GBA core source briefly it looks like there are hardcoded exceptions for some games with features such as rumble hardware.

Can you try this patch (edit: file deleted) on top of your rumble patched Pokmon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire (USA) rom and see if that works? It changes the game ID to Drill Dozer's. Do note that it's for testing purposes only, I don't recommend distributing this particular patch further.

I went ahead and created a fork with additional exceptions added, but was a bit too quick on the trigger to open a pull request. If you can verify the above patch and/or change works, I will re-open the request for just Pokmon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire.

I just tried this new version of the patch on a USA Pokemon Pinball RS ROM, on my MiSTer, using a Wii U Pro Controller (which does work with your other SMA4/M&L patches). It didn't work with Pokemon Pinball RS.

Can you confirm you applied this patch on top of the rom that was already patched with the rumble patch? Rumble also needs to be enabled in the options menu in-game. Changing the game ID in the header "fixes" rumble when running the GBA core for openFPGA on Analogue Pocket for example, in the sense that it forces some overrides in the core. Because of that I still assume it's more of an implementation issue rather than the rumble patches itself for now. I'd be happy to help debug though!

I tried the patched pinball game in my emulator and couldn't find it ever even writes the rumble registers...no idea what's going on.

Maybe the game depends on something else to even touch this register.

Of course, here's a quick video of the rumble patch on original hardware*. Rumble might not be very audible, but because the batteries are on the edge of low you can see the power led turn red when the rumble motor kicks in: =QbJRnH4ko2A

It's not the cartridge rumble code that was the issue, just the way I'm forcing the underlying rumble logic to execute on non-GBP systems. Had to take a different approach than in the other games, and apparently it's prone to emulation inaccuracies (it's a hack in the end). Unfortunately I don't know why, I only figured out what to change to make it work for MiSTer as well

DeSmuME is currently recommended due to a crash in one of the dungeons. This crash will be resolved as soon as possible.

Bismuth is a Swablu who used to be content with his peaceful lifestyle of keeping to himself and tending to his garden. However, after an involuntary escapade involving broken tradition, perceived exile, and an unfortunately timed Ice Beam attack, a spark for adventure has bloomed. Before long, Bismuth is offered an opportunity to satisfy that spark by someone whom his relationship with is strained.

Taking Wing is a sequel to my very first hack, Flight of the Bluebird. However, I aim to make this an experience people can enjoy even if they haven't played that. There are many references to the events of Flight of the Bluebird, though I hope they're presented in a way that can serve as context clues towards an interesting backstory. Did I succeed with this? Did I fail miserably? Please tell me your thoughts; I'm eager for your feedback! I'd also appreciate reports of typos and formatting errors (My discord is bird_obsession).

This hack has a fully custom soundtrack! The music was created by myself, AuraXalaiv, and Solargress. Playing on hardware is not currently recommended due to issues with snd_stream, though I'll provide a fix for this as soon as possible.

Credits are in the .zip file.

A clean US ROM is required.

Estimated demo playtime: 2 hours

The full hack is planned for an early-mid 2025 release.
