The first trailer of The Shaukeens, inspired by the 1982 Basu Chatterjee classic starring Ashok Kumar, A K Hangal and Utpal Dut, is out. While it remains to be seen whether Piyush Mishra, Anupam Kher and Annu Kapoor are able to do justice to the roles reprised by the veterans, the film promises to be a laugh riot.

It has been just over a month since 'Khiladi' Askhay Kumar was in news for his romantic-drama Entertainment, and now he is back with yet another comedy flick The Shaukeens. The film is a remake of the 1982 Bollywood classic Shaukeen, which was directed by Basu Chatterjee, starring Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and AK Hangal in the lead roles.

The Shaukeens appears to pack a punch with its adult comedy within limits. What makes the movie all the more interesting is its cast, that includes veteran actors - Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mehra - with the sizzling Lisa Hayden of Queen fame.

The trailer gives a glimpse of the plot set against the boring lives of three 'toofani buddhe' who head to Mauritius in search of some 'adult' adventure. In Mauritius, they live with Ahana, played by Lisa Hayden, who can do 'anything' to meet Akshay Kumar. The film is a comedy of errors as they try to make this happen.

Lisa Haydon, Akshay Kumar, Annu Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Piyush Mishra all come together to bring us what looks like an entertainment packed movie, The Shaukeens and here is the official trailer for it:

The much awaited official trailer of The Shaukeens is here! The film features the trio Annu Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Piyush Mishra in a remake of the 1982 film Shaukeen. The trailer starts with the introduction of Shaukeen #1 is Anupam Kher who is portraying the role of Laali, a sadly married man, Shaukeen #2 is Annu Kapoor who is playing the role of KD, the single love guru and Shaukeen #3 is Piyush Mishra as Pinky, the happy widower.

The trio goes out to Mauritius and stay with Haydon who is for some unknown reason a die-hard fan of Akshay Kumar! Akshay Kumar is playing himself in the movie and just to add some drama is portraying the character of an alcoholic. And not to mention, Akshay features in the movie with his overbearing larger than life acting skills.

Directed by Abhishek Sharna, The Shaukeen stars Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Lisa Haydon in pivotal roles. The movie is produced by Cape of Goods film, Muran Khetani and Ashwin Varde. The movie is set to release in November 7, 2014.
