Dear Otaku Illustrated Subscriber,
So continuing with animals, I will continue with the next name for a cat. The next cat that we'll be talking about is the white and black cat, which is known as the shiro kuro neko.

So I will now continue on with Japan's Lost Generation. The way that Japanese hiring practices directly caused the Lost Generation is that when the economic bubble burst and the economic boom ended, the Japanese economy was now so bad that companies had to stop all of their hiring to stay afloat during the economic crisis. This Employment Ice Age, as it's come to be known, lasted for the entire 90's decade. The economy did recover enough that the companies were able to start hiring again in the 2000's, but the damage had already been done because those young people that graduated during the 90's were overlooked because they were no longer the fresh graduates that the companies will only hire. So these young people, whose only "crime" was being born so that they will be college graduates during a bad time, never had a shot in the first place because it was taken away from them with them having no say in the matter. Sound familiar (March On Wall Street)? These are the people that became known as the Lost Generation, and because the Japanese economy never fully recovered, they were eventually joined by other young people who either never got hired in the first place either because there was no longer a guarantee of being hired or couldn't succeed in the Japanese workplace after getting hired from the decades that came after. This made the decades after the 90's become known as the Lost Decades. And while this is both tragic and unfair for those who are members of the Lost Generation, it also negatively affects the Japanese economy and Japan's future, and I'll be going into this next week.

I've heard of this anime a few times, but that's about all. So while I do know enough about it to know the name, I never really got the chance to find out if I would enjoy this one or not. But now that the entire series is being rereleased as a super extra steelbook, I don't plan on missing out on my second chance. If you also never found out if you'd like it or not and don't want to miss your second chance to find out, or even if you did enjoy it the first time around and just want to relive the good times, then we can both pre - order ours below:
