Hi everyone,
It's the perfect time to hike the North Crest Trail from Sandia Crest. Hopefully we'll see the aspen leaves turning but we'll certainly have endless views over Albuquerque to the west. The hike is easy to moderate with about 4.6 miles round trip with an elevation
gain of about 700 ft.
On Google Maps there are a few different driving routes to the "Sandia Crest House Gift Shop" at the parking lot at Sandia Crest. This is our trailhead, at the terminus of Hwy. 536. The driving time is about one and one-half hours from Santa Fe. We can car
pool from the area in front of Cafe Fina at 624 Old Las Vegas Highway, meeting at
8:30am on Friday, Sept. 26. From there we'll drive down Hwy. 14 to Hwy. 536. Or you can drive on your own by another route from Santa Fe and meet us at the parking lot at Sandia Crest.
Please RSVP to let me know that you are joining us. It's a beautiful hike!
