Hi,

I have this message when I use sshfs:

mount_osxfuse: the OSXFUSE file system is not available (255)
fuse
: failed to mount file system: Undefined error: 0

My system:

* OSX 10.12.1

$ sshfs  --version
SSHFS version
2.8
OSXFUSE
3.5.3
FUSE library version
: 2.9.7
fuse
: no mount point

I have installed sshfs and OSFuse like this:

$ brew cask install osxfuse
$ brew install sshfs

How can I fix my error ?

Best regards,
Stéphane

Hi Stéphane,

It might be as simple as needing a restart, so give that a shot first. However if that fails, can you try uninstalling the homebrew versions and try using the official OSXFUSE versions available from osxfuse.github.io? I’ve seen folk in the past run into issues using the homebrew versions and using the official versions seems to work better.

Cheers,

Sam

I have created an issue about this on brew cask: https://github.com/caskroom/homebrew-cask/issues/27293

Thanks.

Best regards,
Stéphane
