[Need Help] OSXFUSE installation failed - Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=13 \"Permission denied

Hi,

I got a new Mac, the OS version is macOS Mojave, 10.14.6. Then, I try to install osxfuse with the command "brew cask install osxfuse", but the installation is failed. I searched online and tried "csrutil disable" to recreate the /var/folders/zz files, but doesn't help. Below is the error logs. Does anyone have an idea about this error? Thanks in advance!

Hi Qiong,

Can you try using the official OSXFUSE installer from the website and see if it has the same issue?

If the official version works and brew install doesn’t then I would follow up with the Homebrew team.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the response! I download the osxfuse-3.10.3.dmg from https://osxfuse.github.io/, and run the installation, the installation is stuck at the "Validating packages...", cannot complete. The error log still same.

It's very strange... I am able to install any other applications, such as Pycharm, Java, telnet, etc...
