Hi
I've been trying to install overlay-fs using brew when I realised I needed libfuse for the purpose of the installation and that's not supported in Mac but in Linux boxes.
Apparently MacFUSE doesn't support it and I wonder whether there is anything in the roadmap towards providing overlay-fs support?

Many thanks

OSXFUSE is a library for implementing filesystems with some example implementations as well a port of sshfs. I’m not aware of anyone working on an overlay-fs style filesystem using OSXFUSE but obviously nothing stops anyone building such an implementation.

Depending on your needs, the built in union mount support might still be working well enough to support your use case. Check out man mount for more details on union mounts in macOS.

Cheers,

Sam
