Hi,

I'm trying to use the PC Style Lock Screen but it appears to not be working for me. I have enabled both Pause/Break Key to Eject and Use PC Style Lock Screen (Lock screen by command-L), but neither of these work (I tried CTRL+Shift+Pause and CMD+L)

my Log:

Karabiner version 10.15.0
Mac OS X: El Capitan 10.11.2

Keyboard: Microsoft, but I don't think I have installed any special drivers for it.

Did anyone else notice this issue?

Thanks,
Peter.

It seems to me that either the latest Karabiner or the latest Os X update has disabled ConsumerKeyCode::EJECT

No matter what key I try to assign it to, it doesn't work and it also doesn't show up in your log even though you were surely pressing it based on you problem description. It used to work fine until recently, so I'm assuming one of the updates is the culprit.

I cannot reproduce this issue, but there is possibility that the sleep
shortcut (control-shift-power) is disabled on some machine in the latest
OS X.

I made new setting which uses script to enter sleep.
Please try new setting by this private.xml:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/tekezo/Files/master/Karabiner/private.pc_style_lock/private.xml

How to use private.xml:
https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/document.html#privatexml

Hi,

thanks for your reply. I was trying to lock the screen but not send the Mac to sleep (if possible). Also, even the private.xml you provided is neither able to lock the screen nor send the Mac to sleep using CTRL + Shift + Break.

Btw, while the CMD + L to lock does not work on my Microsoft keyboard, it does work on the MacBook keyboard itself. Do you know where the issue could be?

Thanks,
Peter.

Generally, it's caused by third vendor keyboard driver.
Please confirm you do not install IntelliType and other keyboard drivers.
