VIrtualBox 5.1.2 Preferences Crash on AxNotifier

Although I have "Disable window name and role observation in Qt Apps" enabled, VirtualBox's main GUI crashes when opening its preferences.  A bug report relates this to AxNotifier and may possibly be better followed up there:

I have confirmed that turning of AxNotifier fixes the crash, however this is useless since I need to use both programs.

I've added VirtualBox Preferences to the ignore apps list at v10.21.6.
Please confirm the latest beta version of Karabiner.

I've installed the beta and confirm that preferences no longer crash when using the main VirtualBox app. (Thanks for this, it saved half my day.) I tried to type Command-comma when a VM window was active and the VM aborted. Looks like it's not completely fixed.
